Gee, Allan I think those poll numbers for Hitler and Stalin may be more fake news from Agent Orange. In fact, I’ll go out on a limb and say that I think Der Fuehrer’s approval rating in 1934 probably equaled Agent Orange’s disapproval rating in 2018, 60%.
I think we may need a new algorithm to deal with these numbers. Maybe we should DIVIDE the approval rating by the disapproval rating. For example:
Approval — — — —Disapproval — — — Job Rating
90…………………8……………………11.25
75…………………19…………………..3.95
50…………………39…………………..1.28
40…………………50…………………...0.8
36…………………60……………………0.6 — You Know Who
30…………………65……………………0.46
Maybe we should amend the constitution to provide that if a President’s Job Rating falls below some number, maybe 0.8, for some consecutive number of weeks (12? 20?) that we would have a referendum on him/her, like Brexit. In or Out?
If a majority of the voters said Out then he would immediately be gone and we would have a new popular-vote election in three months to select someone to fill out the remainder of his term. That would be exciting, wouldn’t it?
I bet Joe Biden is looking pretty good right about now.
Food for thought.
