I appreciate your comment and your position, but I think there is a “chicken and egg” element here.

Obviously dishonest and dishonorable candidates would not get elected if people chose not to vote for them. Politicians lie and cheat when they think it will work. The world if full of liars and cheaters and with honest people.

When voters decide to turn a blind eye to the liars and cheaters because they agree with their message, that’s what we get. If they reject that person, that will be a message to the next candidate.

I still think DT was elected and is still supported because he says what the people who voted for him think is right and true. To me, that says a great deal about their beliefs and world view.
