I hope you’re correct but I am doubtful. The point of my latest column was that DT, sadly, does represent America, that we do get the government we deserve, that given our values and ethics we do deserve him and that he actually is the face of and does represent the values of between a third and one-half of the American people.

Put differently, between a third and a half of us are a substantially materialistic, prejudiced and mean-spirited.

I would like it if I were wrong and you were right, but I can’t convince myself that is the case.
