Jim, I think you got it exactly right. I think a Bloomberg/Klobuchar ticket would be unbeatable and a Sanders/Anyone ticket would be unsavable.

What we really need is polling to people who are NOT democrats asking, “Are there any Democratic candidates you would vote for over Trump, and if so, which one(s)?”

That’s the data we need in order to pick who the nominee should be because it’s going to be Independents and middle-of-the-road Republicans who are going to elect the next President, NOT registered Democrats or hard-core Republicans.

A second polling question to GOP voters should be, “What is the Democrat candidate who would be most likely to motivate you to show up at the polls and vote for Trump?”

It’s important to know who would motivate lackluster GOP voters to turn out for Trump.
