Justin, thanks for your comment. I think much of the hatred for rules stems from hatred for overly-complicated, unnecessary, ineffective rules, stupidly enforced, which is often how things are done. I think I should write a column on rules.

Do you have some ideas for a system or mechanism that might efficiently combat/reduce the power (rules) exercised by private entities/large corporations?
