First, I’m neither a socialist, a progressive, or a liberal.
Second, armed rebellions against “tyranny” are essentially violence by people who didn’t get their way. They were out-voted. Sorry, but if they didn’t win the election they didn’t have the right to start shooting the winners. No one has a right to live in an anarchist world where everyone gets to do what they please.
Would you have supported a women’s armed rebellion in 1900 because they were denied the right to vote?
Would you have supported a black armed rebellion in 1960 because their fundamental rights were denied?
Is it your argument that any group with a grievance can and should have the right and the ability to mount an armed insurrection?
No society can function that way.
