Trump’s core is:

(1) Christian fundamentalists who are counting on him to appoint Federal judges and justices who will again make abortion and gay marriage beyond constitutional protection;

(2) conservatives who want to eliminate business regulations to the maximum degree possible;

(3) semi-anarchists who want to own weapons in anticipation of mounting an eventual armed rebellion against legislation that they feel unacceptably restricts their rights. James McVeigh thought that time had already come.

(4) racists who wish to free individuals and businesses from legal complaints by minorities that they are being treated unfairly. These are the same people who protested anti-discrimination laws with the argument that they have a right to run their own businesses any way they want and if they don’t want blacks, Jews, gays or whomever living in their apartment buildings or working in their businesses then they should be free to do just that.

To some extent these groups overlap but in the aggregate they constitute between 35% and 45% of the electorate.
