WORM is perfect but since they deny they don’t respect women (“Why, hell, some of my best friends and all of the people I have sex with are women”) I would argue that WORM should be “White Old Republican Men” which is often the same thing.

Here’s the problem with “misogynist”: many if not most WORMs don’t know what misogynist means, and those who do know what it means absolutely cannot spell it.

It’s difficult to reap the full impact of a label when the labelee doesn’t know what word means and just stands there with a puzzled look mumbling, “Huh? Misogynist? I don’t have sex with no black women.”

You see the problem.

If someone called me a name I didn’t understand, it wouldn’t bother me very much. If they said: “David Grace you nothing but a big quoncke” I’d just scratch my head and go back to writing my next column.

So, in the interest of clarity and avoiding the inevitable protest “Hey, I LOVE women”, my vote is to change the “M” in “WORM” from “Misogynist” to “Men.”
